New experiment to study mass modification of ω meson in nucleus is proposed at JPARC. The proposed experiment measures missing mass spectra using A(π^-,nω)X reaction and invariant mass spectra with π^0γ decay mode. To investigate the mass modification in nucleus, both cross section and mass distribution should be measured as a function of atomic number using several target. The measurements focus on slowly moving ω mesons to maximize nuclear matter effects. In addition, nuclear ω bound states will be searched in A(π^-,n)ωX reaction and combined measurements of nuclear ω bound state and direct ω mass modification will be performed. Such exclusive measurement can supply essential information to establish mass modification of vector mesons in nucleus.
