In this paper, we propose a power- and bandwidth-efficient coded cooperation scheme based on a network coding and non-binary modulation. We investigate the encoder design by using an idea of serially concatenated with convolution code (SCCC) and also study the appropriate decoders to exploit the proposed cooperative transmissions. Our proposal scheme can enjoy the full spatial diversity gain and high coding gain. Numerical results show that the throughput performance of our proposed scheme is superior to that of conventional decoded-and-forward cooperation over block Rayleigh fading channels.
