In this paper, various multiband MIMO antennas for 4G mobile applications are proposed. To obtain the multiband and high isolation characteristics, several techniques such as polarization diversity, band stop matching circuit, decoupling network, embedded chip inductor, and mode decoupling structure are utilized. To evaluate the characteristics of the proposed antennas, key performance parameters including the total efficiency, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), mean effective gain (MEG), and the MEG ratio are analyzed.
