The authors are working on Enhanced Downlink Multiple Antenna Transmission for the 3GPP Long Term Evolution(LTE)-Advanced specifications through the discussion on Radio Access Network Working Group 1(RAN WG1). In this paper, we show our investigation on codebook design supporting important properties as LTE codebook e.g. finite alphabet, constant modulus and nested. Besides antenna configuration likely used for 8 transmit antenna in LTE-Advanced system is accounted for the design, namely highly correlated dual polarized antenna. Numerical results for our proposed codebook are shown as well.
