Oil is a common lubricant for the metal parts in the usual machine. However, water is more friendly for environmental of human society. However water has a problem that can not make thick lubrication film because of low viscosity if we will use it for the lubricant. In this study, in order to improve the lubrication property between Polycarbonate (PC) specimens under water lubrication, we treated PC specimens including TiO_2 with N_2 ion beam irradiation and fabricate a brush-like micro texture on the PC specimens. The effect of the brush-like micro texture on the friction was evaluated in water lubrication. As a result, it was confirmed that the brush-like micro texture decreased friction coefficient by about 0.08-0.10 when the bearing parameters was from 2.0×10^<-10> to 2.0×10^<-9> m.
