It is important to study the good flexible ability for a mobile robot of which mathematicalmodeling is difficult. The genetic algorithms for fuzzy control robot can be applied to the rule selectionproblem for constructing a fuzzy-rule-based system by a small number of fuzzy if-then rules.T hi s p a p e r s t u d i e s t o d i s c u s s t h e c o l l i s i o n a v o i d a n c e a m o n g m o v i n g o b s t a c l e son the conventional hierarchical fuzzy robot model using a genetic algorithm. Some resultsof computer simulation are shown to prove the ef fectiveness of this fuzzy method.
