• Boring is the most basic method of geological survey, and the origin of its technology goes back to B.C. The technology has advanced greatly for mineral resources development in recent years. The advancement of boring machines and boring tools is particularly remarkable. This paper introduces these advanced machines and tools (especially about sampling tools) to offer readers the knowledge of sampling technique that fitted for various geological features.
