Moral education is a highly subjective area in which the educator's whole personality plays an important role. As the Japanese proverb says: "Moral education enters though the eyes, not the ears". In the performance of moral education, we should address several concerns. First, the influence of the educator's personality and example upon students is of upmost importance. To obtain sufficient results in moral education, we educators must constantly train ourselves by "self-binding", and be willing to practice austerities to provide students with good role models. Also, we must lead students to an understanding of the distinction beween legality and morality. Further, the surpassing importance of "responsibility morality" as opposed to "heart morality" must be taught.
