As a result of a study in the field, it has been learned that the average size of adult Luehdorfia puziloi inexpecta population has no correlation with that of the preceding year. Rather, it is closely related to the number of the successful 2nd instar larvae in the preceding year. The study shows that the environmental factors, especially temperature to which larvae have been exposed from egg to the successful 2nd instar larva, largely affect the population size of adult insects in the following year.
