船体振動におよぼすタンク内の液体の影響に関する一考察

When the ship vibration is calculated by using finite element method, the modeling of the fluid in tank is usually a problem. In generally, we do not take the motion of fluid in tank into consideration, and the fluid in tank is assumed as the solid body. But there is usually a space between the free surface of fluid and the deck, therefore the motion of fluid has to be taken into consideration. In this paper, the pressure on bottom of tank having the arbitrary motion is calculated by using boundary element method, and the force on bottom obtained from the calculation is compared with the inertia force as the solid body. And it is found that the force on bottom is made uniformly and the effective mass of fluid in tank becomes small when the motion of fluid is taken into consideration. As the result, it is considered that the natural frequency of hull girder vibration increases a little by the motion of fluid in tank.
