In the present report, the coordinate system is examined to describe the governing equation of turbulent flow around ship. First of all, the general non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system is adopted to mention the governing equation. Next, the non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system is derived using only two non-orthogonal angles ψ, θ_0 to make easy to describe the governing equation strictly. These two angles ψ, θ_0 are examined around simple hull form ship and tanker, and these are not too small to neglect.
