This aim of this paper is to highlight factors that lead to the work stress of visitingnurses. The completed questionnaire survey of 76 nurses who work at 16 visiting nursingstations in X prefecture were used as data for this study. As a result, it was discovered thatas one's age increases, there is a tendency for the average score of the stresser criterion andthe reaction to stress criterion to be higher. A characteristic of one age bracket is that 33people in their 40s compose 43% of the total of nurse stress, for example, "overwork" and"blood circulation problems." The average score for this group is higher than in any otherage bracket and in fact, two people in their 60s had a lower average score.In regards to factors causing work stress, we found out through this study that age isrelated. Generally one's technical knowledge and ability will differ with age;however, webelieve that it will appear as physical and mental stress depending on one's rank and senseof responsibility.
