This study investigated the dietary patterns of truant students. The survey method included questionnaires and behavior observation, and the survey participants were classified into one of two groups: with a good or poor dietary pattern. As a result, students with a good dietary pattern were able to communicate well with other students, while students with a poor dietary pattern were unable to do so. In addition, the latter type of students also criticized other students in some cases. For this reason, it was believed that there was some type of relationship between dietary pattern and problematic behavior. Furthermore, the interview survey results showed that there was a disturbance in the daily rhythm in truant students. These results suggested that truant students have a habit of eating what they want when they want and that they often eat alone or have a dietary pattern close to eating alone.
