In seventy-two patients with cardiac diseases or arterial hypertension, the cardio-vascular dynamical analysis was performed by means of Holldack's and Wezler's methods, and on the other hand, simultaneously the renal function was examined by means of PSP test, PAH-thiosulfate clearance method and Gomez' measurement of the renal resistance with special reference to the cardio-renal correlation and the mechanism of the cardiac edema. The following results were obtained: 1. Among thirty-one patients with valvular diseases, the decrease in PSP and RBF or the increase in FF and RT were specially seen in those cases who showed the cardiac dynamics of the "Druck" reaction in the sense of Blumberger. The decrease in PSP was particuarly found in those cases who showed the "normotone Anspannungsregulation" in the sense of Duesberg and Schroeder. The decrease in RBF was expressingly observed in those cases who showed the hypertension of W+E' type in the sense of Wezler. The low values of PSP and RBF were frequently seen in those cases who exhibited the prolonged "Anspannungszeit" and the shortened "Austreibungszeit". 2. Among nine patients with hypertensive cardiac disease, there could not be observed any case who denoted the "Volumen" reaction (Blumberger), so far as this observation was concerned, most of them indicated the "Druck" reaction in cardiac dynamics and the hypertension of W+E' type. The decrease in PSP and RBF, or the increase in Rv were dominantly found among them. 3. Twenty-seven patients with arterial hypertension displayed the tendency in the same manner as that observed in the hypertensive cardiac disease, although there existed some cases with "Volumen" reaction. 4. Nine cardiac patients complicated with edema showed frequently the cardiac dynamics of the "Druck" reaction type and the vascular dynamics of the "normotone Anspannungs-regulation" type or of the hypertension of W+E' type. Although GFR of those patients were usually reduced, Merrill's critical level of the cardiac edema were felt to be somewhat too high.
