The human oviduct epithelium was fixed in 1 % OsO_4 solution, and thin sections were prepared to observe the cytoplasmic fine structure with the electron microscope. 1) Two sorts of microsomes in cytoplasma are found; the one is clear particle, 10-30 mμ in size, which is named as S-microsome, and the other is dark and smaller one, named as C-microsome. These particles are surrounded or connected, with each other by the substance, which is strong in electron density, The author named this substance as microsome connecting filament or A-substance. The microsmes and A-substance could be regarded as an origin of all organellae. 2) The microsome has an ability to produce the daughter particles after division and reproduction. The division of the A-substance could be produced. The production of the new daughter particles and the new birth of the connecting filament are observed. 3) The limiting membrane of the mitochondria consists of the microsome and A-substance. This membrane encloses the protoplasma to form the mitochondria. The A-substance and microsome, which are enclosed inside, divide and reproduce themselves vigorously, and the microsome in the limiting membrane also produces the division and reproduction, forming multiple microsome particle columns, which are arranged side by side to form the cristae mitochondriales. 4) When the mitochondria is on the verge of collaps, it swells and the internal structure disappears, the electron density decreases and the limiting membrane is destroyed finally so that the mitochondria ceases to exist. The limiting membrane, however, persists some-times finally as the structural element of the cytoplasma 5) The Golgi-apparatus is consisted of the Golgi-membrane, large vacuole, S-microsome, C-microsome and A-substance. The Golgi-membrane is demonstrated to heve microsome accompanying the small vesicule. The transition of the Golgi-membrane to the microsome connecting filament around the Golgi-apparatus is sometimes found. 6) The cell membrane is formed with thin gel membrane of A-substance at the limit of the cell, at the inside of that assemble dense microsomes. 7) To compare the microvilli with the cilia, the former are found to be thin, short and sometimes complicated in form with branches. Such cytoplasmic structure as the basal corpuscle of cilium does not exist, and the filamentous structure like the filament of cilium is not found. 8) As for the fine structure of cilium, it has two central filaments and nine peripheral filaments, each of which is 20-30 mp in diameter, having clear and dark striped structure in longitudinal section that shows inside the row of S-microsome and C-microsome. In addition to this, there exist regular, fine filamentous connective structures at the interval of about 500 Å between the central and peripheral filaments. 9) In the microsome connecting filament of cytoplasma there is a structure, which can be regarded as canalicular, having inside the row of S-microsome and C-microsome. Such structure is very similar to that of the ciliary filament.
