On the Formation of Dai Nam Thuc Luc (大南寔録)(V): An introduction of Xie Gui-an, Zhong guo shi-lu tishi xue yan jiu (謝貴安『中国実録体史学史研究』).A ten-year project on the compilation of the Qing Shi (清史編纂十年プロジェクト), sponsored by the Chinese government, is being under taken by scholars in China(mainland), Hong Kong, Macao andTaiwan. This project is expected to completed in 2013, the 100th anniversary of the Xin-hai Revolution (辛亥革命). This compilation, which will be counted as the 27th Official History (正史), is taking a "new synthesis"(新総合体). Marxism historiography instead of the traditional form of biographical historiography(紀伝体). The above mentioned project has an influence on the research on Shi-lu (実録), the historicalmaterials of Official History. This article intends to introduce Xie Gui-an's new definition on the form of theShi-lu, which he refers to as a chronicle form with additional biography (編年附伝体), one body with two wings (一体二翼) including 直書 (description based on facts) and 曲筆 (perversion of the truth), and furthermore,to examine the applicability of his definition on Dai Nam Thuk Luc (大南寔録), as well as theShi-lu of the East Asian cultural or Kanji cultural area (漢字文化圏) in future research.
