This report gives an example for model tests concerning the effect of stern-bulb size of fine hull forms on propulsive performance. Three model ships with a conventional stern and two kinds of stern-bulb were used in this experiment. Shapes of aft sectional area curves and designed load water planes were kept as constant as posible. At fully loaded condition, the hull form with small stern-bulb showed slightly lower resistance values than the other hull forms, but its propulsive effiency was worse. Resultantly, the brake horse power of the hull form with small stern-bulb decreased slighly than the other two hull forms in Froude number over 0.29. At 60% displacement condition, there was no superiority of stern-bulb.
