The fate of "philosophieren" is not simple. Each thought emerges as a process that a thinker interpretes the world in which one lives. However, any thought is destined to degenerate into some kind of fixed system. The aim of this article is to clarify this fate of the thought in case of Kierkegaard. The parallax of interpreter is not simple. When we refer to the name "Kierkegaard", this implies two meanings. One "Kierkegaard" is a person called "Soren Kierkegaard" who lived in the 19th century. The other "Kierkegaard" is a thought (or a documents of philosophieren) that we see in the works of "Soren Kierkegaard". Consequently, we face two different aspects of Kierkegaard. One is as a historical existence and as the works of this historical existence. The other is as a thought that is labeled as Kierkegaard, that emerges as an interpretation of "self" and the world in which one lives. The "existential categories" are the key to this problem. Especially those of despair and sin signifies the in-betweenness of Kierkegaard's thought. The paradox of Kierkegaard is the result of his in-betweenness. He could not totally belong to the traditional European Christianity. However, contrary to the other left-Hegelians like Feuerbach, Christianity is certainly the meaning he could not cast off. The thought of Kierkegaard is between medieval Christian world and modern secular world. Therefore, there are two different faces in the writings of Kierkegaard. One is the myth of Christianity and the other is the description of human ex-istence.
