小説を対象にした感性語の分類の基礎研究 : 意味的類似性を基準として

The purpose of this research was to examine the methods of classification of sensibility terms and this paper reports 2 studies, one providing a geometric representation of the semantic similarity among 20 words chosen as sensibility terms on the novel and one exploring the hierarchical organization of sensibility according to semantic similarity among the same 20 words. The subjects in this research were 140 undergraduate students. Each subject was given the combinations of 20 sensibility terms on the Web Questionnaire System created by ASP(Active Server Pages) programming, and asked to respond on the similarity between word pairings created using all possible combinations of the 20 word group. The response scale given ranged from 7 for minimum similarity to a score of 1 for maximum similarity. The statistical analysis using Multidimensional Scaling Procedure and Hierarchical Clustering Method was conducted for the data collected by the Web Questionnaire System. In conclusion, these 20 words fell in roughly a circular order in a Euclidean space defined by two-dimensions: pleasure-displeasure and arousal-sleep, and they were divided into 7 basic sensibilities in the hierarchical organization of sensibility according to semantic similarity.
