The volcanic rocks concerned represent a member of the early to middle Miocene sediments of the district. The hydrothermal alteration took place in regional scale and more intensely, with amounts of the relics of primary minerals, in the lower parts of the formation. Among the recrystallized green minerals, chlorite is more abundant in the lower parts, whereas the vermiculitesaponite minerals and celadonite in the upper parts. Such mineralogical change would be attributed to the decreasing temperature and pressure towards the upper horizon, prevailing during the regional hydrothermal alteration.
