This article has summarized several basic laws of the earth crust tectonic development of China on the basis of a lot of practical data, and presented some of the authors' new viewpoints on these problems. 1. During the earth crust evolution and development, the two ancient continental crusts of Siberia in the east Eurasia tectonic plate were governed and controlled, and were responsible for the transmission of the stress. As a result, the front margin of these ancient crusts travelled in the wave-like transmission in their southbound movement, thus forming in space a pattern of southbound progressive renewal of geosynclinal cycle, which in tectonics was embodied in the increasing growth in volume of the front margin of the continental crusts. The mutual crossing and overlapping of the wave-like transmission from the two above-mentioned ancient continetal crusts is one of the reasons for the polycyclic orogenic characteristics of the geotectonic development of China. 2. The mutual crossing and overlapping of the three great tectonic domains, viz. the Pal-Asiatic Tectonic Domain, the Marginal Pacific Tectonic Domain and the Tethys-Himalaya Tectonic Domain, which resulted from the three stresses, is the other reason for the development mentioned above.
