Although some earlier literatures suggest that there are many problems in career transition into managerial jobs, only few empirical researches have even conducted so far. In order to fill this theoretical gap, we conducted the intensive field interview studies in experiences and views of 33 middle managers. As a result of the analysis, many problems they face can be divided roughly into two categories. That is, they are "managerial troubles" (the troubles concerning management and leadership practice), and "psychological troubles" (the troubles concerning psychological resistance on managerial job, such as uneasiness and dissatisfaction etc.). This paper tries to explore the contents and the causes of these problems. Furthermore, we offer the suggestion about the ways of coping of these problems.
