For developing highly specialized in-house professionals, it is necessary for a company to provide for the following elements: treatment of the professionals on the same level as managers; assessment of the professionals' performance from a long-term point of view, based on a plus-point principle for the further promotion of their challenging attitudes ; provision of environment that solicit respect for professionals from both the inside and outside the company; support for autonomy of professionals ; backing up professionals for the continuation of learning ; and arranging for mechanisms for enhancing independent activities of the professionals as well as his autonomous career formation. Conventional human resources management has been expanded while putting its axis mainly upon the study of the development and use of company managers. However, in the era of worldwide competition, brought about by a variety of efforts on creating new company values, roles of professionals with advanced levels of specialty have clearly increased their importance. For this reason, therefore, it would be necessary for the human resource managers to consider the possibility of shifting or expanding their research focuses onto further development of specialists.
