This paper concerns the "Engineering Business School" program, intended for executives candidates. In 1995, the Toshiba Group companies established a long-range plan for the 21 st Century. The details of the plan were further delineated in what is called the Action 2000 Plan. The plan specifically called for the establishment of the Toshiba AVE Engineering Business School, which aimed at providing training for executives in management and technology. The executives would work to promote technical enterprise of the future. In another words, it was a training program that promoted enterprises by teaching executives how to enhance technological power and to sell more technologically-oriented products. The results of the training come to be evaluated highly. The schooling took place three times in three years and 40 graduates were born. From then on, they have been active as young leaders. The major contents of the training program were materials from their own workplace and training techniques are modeled after case studies made from their own experiences. Furthermore, trainees made their enterprise business plan based on what they proposed for their customers before the training ended. In this manner, the trainees learned the first step of the capabilities required among executives.
