To solve the mechanism of screech tone reduction, it is important to study in the near field. The relation between the reflector plate and the standing wave formed in the near filed close to the jet flow has never been obvious. In the present study, the main source location of screech tone and the generation mechanism of the standing wave are analyzed using the optical wave microphone techniques. The experimental date of standing wave at same reflector places coincide with the results predicted theoretically.
