The social request for amenity sound environments has been increasing. However, the method to analyze amenity sound from the view point of the physical structure of sound environments, and methods for physiological evaluation have not been suffi-ciently developed. The author has developed a new measurement system for an ultra-wide range of environmental sounds using high speed 1 bit AD/DA signal processing and an analysis method of environmental sound using Fast Fourier Transmission and the Maximum Entropy Method as well as evaluation methods for amenity environments indexing brain electrical activity. As a result of these synthetic approaches, the author found the "Hypersonic Effect", which indicates that high frequency components above the audible range activate a rythms of the electroencephalogram, and increase the sound amenity. Experiments for the improvement of sound environments in operational space and the development of a simulating system for a relaxation environment were conducted as an application of these studies.
