In Japan, the number of the late elderly people is increasing day by day. Naturally, the number of the dead people was over one million in 2005. People have regarded "terminal care" as one of the medical fields. But such way of thinking is gradually changing. There is a tendency for people to change to prefer to "quality of life" to "quantity of life" internationally. In short, it is important for us to value social welfare as well as medicine.
