In this paper I examined Caxton's Own Prose and the 2,000 lines of Eneydos in order to see the development of the Verb + Noun + (Preposition) construction in the late 15th century. This time I limited myself to the collocations of the following five verbs: do, give, have, make and take. In Caxton's Own Prose have collocates with various kinds of nouns and the have + Noun + (Preposition) construction most frequently appears; give and make tend to collocate with certain nouns. By comparing the instances found in Caxton's Own Prose and Eneydos with those found in Paston Letters I have found that some characteristics of colloquial prose in the late 15th century are reflected not only in Caxton's Own Prose but also in Eneydos.
