概要

The final goal of this study is to clarify the feasibility of Jovian atmospheric aerocapture from a viewpoint of aerodynamics. In the preliminary study, supersonic flow field is analyzed by FLUENT CFD software. Concretely, internal flow of the supersonic nozzle of a Ludwieg tube and atmospheric flow around a Galileo Probe are analyzed. Then, the former is compared with experimental data, and the latter is compared with the Milos's predictions. As a result, the comparison data of the Mach number distribution of the Ludwieg tube and the temperature distribution of the front surface of the Galileo Probe are both almost agreed.
