Trilemma among global environment, food and energy securities is going on serious subject. Huge consumption of fossil energy causes global warming, global warming causes various natural disasters such as drought, flooding and abnormal heat, and such natural disasters cause significant decrease in productivity of various farm products. Sharp boost in price of crude oil is going to cause rise in price of commodities, and depression of worldwide economics. The great demand for the development of biofuels is introduced by the both global warming and sharp boost in crude oil price. Bioethanol is mainly producing from crops such as corn, wheat grain and sugar, and biodiesel is mainly from edible oils such as rape seed, soybean and palm oils. Sharp expanding of biofuels production from edible materials is causing sharp boost in price of various agricultural products. It is apprehensive that population of the "extreme poverty and hunger" in developing area, which is the first goal of the United Nation Millennium Development Goals, would be expected to increase by the sharp boost in price of foods. The development of resources for biofuels production independent for edible resources is being looked forward. This article reviews resources for biodiesel production from seed oil of trees and bushes such as Jatropha (Jatropha curcas), Karanj (Pongamia pinnata) and so on, in addition microalgae such as Chlorella (Chlorella pyrenoidosa) is also discussed as the resource of biodiesel.
