This present paper examines the structure of the tip leakage flow of a turbine cascade using the numerical calculation with Launder-Sharma low Reynolds number k-ε turbulence model. The governing equations are the three dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations, and TVD scheme is used to calculate the flow field stably. In this study, the flow of a turbine cascade with tip clearance of 2.0 percent of the blade span length is analized. The results give very detailed information on the mechanism of the generation and growth of the leakage vortex between blades and after the trailing edge with visualizations.
