A Navier-Stokes solver used for the prediction of three-dimensional compressible viscous flows inside compressor blade rows has been developed. The time marching LU-SGS implicit scheme developed by Jameson and Yoon is used for obtaining steady solutions. The third-order NND scheme is i ncorporated to obtain distinct shock system and valid boundary layer characteristics. The flows in a single stage transonic compressor are calculated, comparisons with experiment data show that the complex viscous flow phenomena through compressor blade rows are well predicted with present solver.
