The author studied the influence of acetylcholine upon the maximal and minimal blood pressure, pulse curve amplitude and pulse rate, by means of the bloodless method, and obtained the following results. 1) By subcutaneous injection of 0.1mg per Kg, the maximal bood pressure changed, but the minimal blood pressure and pulse rate were almost unchanged. 2) By subcutaneous injection of 2.0mg per Kg, the maximal and minimal blood pressure and pulse curve amplitude decreased in one minute after 5 minutes the maximal blood pressure 30 mm Hg on the average. Pulse rate rather increased. 3) By subcutaneous injection of 10mg per Kg, rabbits fell into a shock-like condition after one minute, pulse curve amplitude became zero. The maximal and minimal blood pressure recovered in 30 minutes to 2 hours. 4) By intravenous injection of 0.01mg per Kg, the minimal blood pressure was almost unchanged, the maximal blood pressure showed a little ascent. 5) By intravenous injection of 0.05mg per Kg, rabbits lapsed into a shock-like condition immediately after injection and the maximal blood pressure recovered in 12 minutes, the minimal blood pressure and pulse curve amplitude in 11.2 minutes on the average. 6) By intraperitoneal injection of 10.0 mg per Kg, the changes worth noting were not observed. 7) From the above mentioned results, the author can see that acetylcholine causes the minimal blood pressure to fall, but that the changes of the minimal blood pressure are smaller in degree in comparison with that of the maximal blood pressure.
