概要

• IAC system for combustion gas turbine can increase electrical output of the gas turbine during times of high ambient temperature. Among various method, IAC system using ITES has benefits of economical thermal energy storage by the low cost off-peak electricity and increasing system capacity using stored ice during the time of high electricity demand. It provides a way of efficient use of electricity by leveling the demand. The first IAC system for 50-MW gas turbine using liquid ice type ITES (Mitsui Sherbet Supply System: Mitsui SSS) began operation in August 1996. Figure 1 is a schematic of the system, and figure 2 shows the firstIAC system by Mitsui SSS.
