Organic mater, such as the remainder of feed and excrement of fish and shellfish, forms sludge on the seabed in an aquaculture farm. The sludge becomes a hotbed of anoxic water and causes fish habitat to deterioate. The purpose of this research is to develop a compact system that can remove and collect the sludge effectively without an adverse effect on the fish habitat. This paper explains about the seabed cleaning system produced by the combination of air-water mixing jet and lift pump. Then, we carried out a travelling test and a comprehensive pumping test towed in a marine field. As a result, the collection faculty of the system for the surface sludge, the travelling stability of the sludge collector and the purification feature of the sludge separator were recognised.
