The fully dispersed extremely weak shock wave in one dimensional steady flow of a gas with a single relaxing internal degree of freedom is considered. When all dependent variables and the co-ordinate x are made dimensionless with respect to their critical values and the thickness of a extremely weak shock wave respectively, and all non-dimensional dependent variables are expanded in terms of a small parameter ε, it is shown that the resulting equation for u^<(1)> takes the following form d^2u^<(1)>/dx^2-6u^<(1)>du^<(1)>/dx=0 where u^<(1)> is the first order coefficient of non-dimensional velocity. The solution is given by solving the above equation.
