It is said that Yutorikyouiku has caused a remarkable decline in academic achievement. Is it true? Do you really know what Yutorikyouiku is? As the word, Yutori, is used so naturally, we don't even doubt what Yutori really means. Yutori has three characteristics. First, we are different from each other. So we all have different Yutori. Yutori has to belong to individual possession. Second, when our own subjectivity is established and each can ensure necessity to act, then we can feel or have Yutori. Third, when we have Yutori, we can create creativity. We don't know what happens in our society or world. Creativity is the thing that we can solve the troubles. Yutorikyouiku is the education which every child can act subjectively. It does not mean that we only give children a lot of free time. Subjectivity of each child must be guaranteed under Yutorikyouiku.
