The purpose of this study is to learn the educational direction that the morality in Early Childhood from Dewey's theory. In this study I understand the morality through accepting the worth as "a way of life". The way of this study is to approach the standpoint of Dewey's the moral education and the communication theory. On that occasion, it is thought that education is the communication, and that it is based on the "education through the environment". It was examined mainly in the concrete from three points as follows. The first point is about the education as a communication. The second point is about developmental and educational-view points of the early childhood, which a teacher is asked for. The third point is about "subject-matter" and "method" in the practice. A way of life has been pursued in the Dewey's empiricism education. It emphasized the valuable learning for a child to go on living, and it showed possibility to the adaptation in the early elementary education. Based on the Dewey's theory, we should grope the suitable moral education to the early childhood, which is mutual independence and democratic.
