Against the backdrop of progressing globalization and rapid regional integration, while the Northeast Asia region came to the attention as having achieved economic development the most rapidly in the world, it was also seen as being the most delayed area in terms of cooperation. As the political background of the regional situation, there are North Korea's nuclear weapons problems, the remains of Cold War structure, and the differences in political regimes and economic development levels. Stated simply, a most important problem is that China, Japan, and Korea, the three main sovereign states in this region, were not able to gather together enough to promote cooperative relations. However, China-Japan-Korea triangle relations have had a heightening level of cooperation on some issues, in particular economic relations and the problem of North Korea, after many twists and turns. In the East Asia region, there are opinions which see China-Japan-Korea relations promoting the process toward regional integration, and the idea that they should create a kind of regional community has become mainstream. This paper analyzed structural features of China-Japan-Korea relations in the context of Northeast Asia regional cooperation.
