A method is proposed that visualises the structure of discussions on networks. E-mails with attached files receive much attention. Different topics are often discussed on mailing lists simultaneously and many participants simultaneously address different topics. Therefore, understanding discussion contents is crucial to participate in discussions and submit meaningful comments. However since e-mails are usually arranged temporally by submitted time, understanding their contents quickly and intuitively is not easy. This article proposes methods for understanding discussion contents by showing relationships between e-mails. Three visualisation schemes are presented in this article. They are (1) time series occurrence of keywords, (2) relationship of e-mails, and (3) visualisation of same topics in different discussion groups. These visualisation schemes help the understanding of the structure of the discussion on mailing list.
