• Models with anomalous U(1) is an attractive approach to various problems including fermion mass hierarchy and supersymmetry breaking. We review some basic feature of the approach with an emphasis on an extension with multi U(1)'s [1]. We explain how a certain class of models with multi U(1)'s is equivalent to a model with a single anomalous U(1). We also point out that such an equivalence is modified in supergravity.
