• The purpose of the study was to clarify to raise in school health education movement. The decade from 1927to 1937 was a critical time in the school health education history of Japan. The recognition of the values of school expanded in the health education, which was influence by the United States. Practice of various health education was tried in Japan in the half of the period. The practice was supported by development of a curriculum. Manthly, gradewise and community based curricula was developed. These curricula were further promoted after the visit of C. E. Turner in 1936 to Japan.
