A novel glucose biosensor was designed using the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique. Monolayer was transferred onto the Prussian blue modified platinum electrode. In this work, a mixed monolayer of GOD and lipid was fabricated by spreading the GOD onto the LB trough covered with lipid film. π-A curves of GOD-lipid films were taken in various conditions. Our experimental data showed that surface pressure of this mixed film from liquid to solid state ranged between 35 to 45 mN/m. Also results show that KCl has great effect for forming mixed monolayer of GOD-lipid film. The GOD-lipid monolayer was deposited onto the Prussian blue modified electrode at the surface pressure of mixed layer of 40 mN/m. The biosensor exhibited a wide linear response up to 10 mM with a low detection limit of 5μM.
