A reliable and robust addressing scheme for wobble-groove recording was developed. Code symbols with sharp autocorrelation are used for wobble waveform allocation. The scheme employs redundant allocation of synchronization codes, a DC-free wobble waveform with a stable carrier signal, and a majority detection method based on an M-sequence symbol. An experiment was carried out to demonstrate its synchronization speed and the reliability of its address detection.
