In Air Traffic Control (ATC), standards of aircraft separation are established for safe and effective air traffic flow. For more effective use of airspace, reduction of a longitudinal separation minimum is expected. For reducing a separation minimum, it requires safety assessment based on collision risk model for the airspace under consideration. This report describes the method of estimating along-track prediction errors distribution, which is necessary for estimating the collision risk, by using ADS (Automatic Dependent Surveillance) data. In addition, we reexamined the previous work and show revised along-track prediction errors distribution.
