• Concerning Nawa-nai, we considered the following points of the formation, plan and development: 1) There is some possibility that the plot of Nawa-nai was affected by that of Shibiri (Kyogen piece). 2) The scene in which Tarokaja makes a straw rope referring to bad thing about his new master was enlarged and devised by Kyogen players in the Edo period. 3) The Izumi school's direction of the scene in which Tarokaja makes a straw rope has kept an old style since the early Edo period.
