The 2005 West off Fukuoka Earthquake occurred around Fukuoka City at 10:53 on March 20, 2005. It is reported to this paper about the result of seismic damage investigation in the 2005 West off Fukuoka Earthquake. Specially, it is reported about the results of seismic damage investigation of Fukuoka City city area and the Genkai Island by this paper. The seismic scale and the maximum seismic intensity in the 2005 West off Fukuoka Earthquake were the degrees the other big earthquakes which occurred after the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu Earthquake. But, this maximum seismic acceleration was smaller than the maximum seismic acceleration of the other big earthquakes which occurred after the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu Earthquake. Therefore, the seismic damage investigation in this earthquake wasn't so big. In Fukuoka City city area, many window glasses of the building fractured and fell, many block walls collapsed, etc.. In Genkai Island, many houses stand in the slope. Many houses collapsed because the land of that slope collapsed.
