• In the paper feeding mechanism, it is important to feed the sheet paper without jamming under any conditions. To avoid sheet jamming, we need to control the paper flutter in the paper path. We proposed a concave carrying path under the feeding roller. This mechanical characteristic is achieved by controlling paper behavior at two edges of concave carrying path and feeding roller, so it can generate tension of paper under the feeding roller, and keeps the paper feeding path constant. We also investigated which mechanical parts have an effect on paper jam by using robust design method, and we made clear it is the most significant to change cross sectional area of the paper feeding mechanism.
