Oscillatory flow is a common physical phenomenon in heat transportation device. Therefore, it is important to understand the heat transfer characteristic in an oscillating flow. In the previous study, experimental investigations were conducted covering wide Rayleigh and Reynolds ranges and the flow pattern was classified by Rayleigh and Reynolds numbers. In this study, velocity distribution was measured by applying the image processing technology to the visualized image. Consequently, the structure of flow field was clarified.
