The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relation between college life anxiety and cognitive behavioral variable, using covariance structural analysis to test a hypothesized model. Generalized self-efficacy scale, Japanese irrational belief test-20, scale for college life anxiety, Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale, Tri-Axial Coping Scale, The Scale of Expectancy for Social Support was administered to 104 college students. The results, analyzed using covariance structural analysis, were as follows: (1) self-efficacy and coping was related to "unit anxiety", "others anxiety", and "repeating a year anxiety" of college life anxiety: (2) "friend support" indirectly influenced college life anxiety through self-efficacy: (3) "self-expectation" and "ethical criticism" influenced "evaluation anxiety" and "college suitably respondent": (4) "powerless feeling" was correlated to self-efficacy and coping, enhanced "evaluation anxiety": (5) "dependence" of irrational belief influenced "evaluation anxiety", "Dependence" received the influence from "catharsis" of coping. In addition, it was suggested that "catharsis" be strengthened by "parents support".
